So not going back to school. Yeah, I'm disappointed too. Financial aid didn't come through and we definitely do not have the money or the desire to be in more debt. On Saturday, I received the postcard reminder of Spring registration and S was all for throwing it in the trash. I'm more of a sentimental person and added it to my stack of stuff to look through. A girl can dream, right?
On a positive note, I'm 35 weeks and 5 days! One more month to go! I think S is more excited about meeting this little girl than I am. He's just so ready for her to be here. He also mentioned he's not to excited about seeing me in labor and going through what happened last time. Doesn't he remember it was ME that was actually laboring? How do you think I'm feeling about it, buddy?
To avoid the long, drawn out stay we had last time I'm bound and determined to not be medically induced. I understand the doc will not let me go past 41 weeks which would be December 2nd and I'm okay with that. We will just be walking, eating spicy food/pineapple/spices, squatting, etc to get the kid out naturally. Last time I also wasn't to keen on having D born in March (something to do with diamonds I think.. shhhh I'm not materialistic or anything). Not completely sure why but I was being paranoid or something. This time around I really could care less.
I was worried about having a Scorpio baby versus a Sagittarius baby but last night I came to the conclusion she was going to be whatever she wanted to be anyway. She's already very poky/jabby and I keep saying she's vicious so those are probably Scorpio characteristics ;) I've read that Scorpios are mysterious, intense, can be jealous and have a tendency to stare people down. They are also super loyal and love their family and friends. So.. she should be a handful, I'm guessing. Only time will tell.
D is definitely a handful and into EVERYTHING! I swear he mostly hears, "No D, Stop D, Don't touch that D." Poor child will think those are his nicknames. He is still wonderfully sweet and will cuddle with you and give you kisses so I don't hold all of his stubbornness against him.
For Halloween he's going to be Mickey Mouse at the IL's house since his little cousin is going to be Minnie Mouse =) I thought it would be super cute. While out in public he's going to be Yoda/Jedi Knight. The Yoda hat/ears are a little too snug to keep on so hopefully he'll pass as the knight. We found him a flash light with a "light saber" look to it which I'm sure he'll be whacking against everything and everyone but at least he'll have fun =) S and I will be eating his candy so he should get something.
S and I are planning on going to D's daycare for the Costume Parade and Party. The first daycare event we'll be attending since I think he's old enough to care and it might be one of the last daycare activities we get to do. We're still trying to decide what the financial future has to offer us. I think the main plan is for me to stay home with the kids since my whole check would go to daycare. And unless an awesome job that covers daycare (at our fantastic daycare) and covers the cost of groceries and additional bills comes along that will be the way it stays. I know this will benefit our family but I'm still a little worried about being at home with them all day, everyday. I'm not the most patient person and I really love having a schedule/working/making money.
Maybe the job fairy will make her way to me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
