Yesterday, I was told that D was the most easily amused baby. My response was, "Oh, he gets that from me."
Some examples of my amusement:
Sunday, D and I were sitting on opposite ends of the couch. I for real sneezed and he thought it was hilarious and fake soft sneezed back. I fake loud sneezed and he repeated his soft sneeze while laughing. We kept this up for about 20 sneezes sometimes he tried to fake me out withe a head nod but no sneeze. My son has learned Simon Says!
One day at work I found a rubber stamp with our company owner's signature. I was amazed with my find. I mean how cool is that?? You can make a stamp out of your actual signature. Which means you could make a stamp out of practically anything. The possibilities are endless! I could make one of my son's foot if I wanted. One of my cat's paw print. Some random design I could come up with on a post it! The girls who were witness to my amazing find were more amused by my reaction than the awesomeness of the stamp.
A couple of years ago (who am I kidding, about 10 years ago) my bff was spending the weekend at my adult free house and we mixed Sunny D and vodka together as our drink for the night. We also mixed purple food coloring to the vodka for shits and giggles. There weren't any adults remember, we could do whatever we wanted! We ended up making eggs for dinner or something and I don't know why but I decided to crack an egg and separate it in my hands. I was standing at the sink for about 10 mins just holding the yolk of an egg and just mesmerized by passing from one palm to the other. Yes, I understand I'm slightly off but my friend thought I was funny! She still mentions it years later. Probably pondering why she's still friends with such a weirdo =)
On National Doughnut Day I went with a friend to Kris.py Kre.me to pick up a couple dozen pieces of deliciousness for work. Once inside I noticed the huge glass window into the back. Did you know they make the actual doughnuts there?!! It was like I was part of the filming on Un.wrapped. It was so cool! I even saw dozens upon dozens of doughnuts on the little conveyor belts! I called EVERYONE! Who knew?!... yeah.. EVER-ry-body apparently knew. EXCEPT me! I called my mother and told she had deprived me all of my life of this little treasure only 15mins from our house! I did find some solace in my newly aware deprived life though, FREE DOUGHNUT on National Doughnut Day!!
It's the little things people =)
I'm an addict of bubble tea, wife to my first "real" boyfriend >.< and Momma to two mini-mes.

50/50
The good:
Bring on the adorable dresses, cute shoes, teenage drama and chaotic wedding planning!
We're having a girl!
The bad:
After much consideration, the decision has been made not to fill the position at this time.
Since the job process was so long and drawn out I'm not that hurt/upset. I can deal. I've already emailed a couple of family friends that can hopefully help me find a better position. I'm not too worried but I think I'm just in denial.
***
I can't believe in 4 months I'm going to be holding a new little baby! A baby girl at that! I'm excited and scared since the newborn stage isn't exactly my favorite. I'm hoping I was just inexperienced and stressed the first go around and this time I'll be able to appreciated the newborn-ness and petite-ness of my little girl. We'll see.
We're already received and purchased some clothes/items for "Moonbeam". I'm stocking up on sale items of essentials (breastpads, washclothes, nipples, etc.) and trying to visualize more space in the already tight fit of D's closet. S and I decided, D and Moonbeam will share a room for now (once she sleeps through the night) and when we move (PLEASE in the next year or so!) they can have their own rooms.
***
I figure I need to start blogging more so I have some account of the chaos that is going on in our lives. I love going back and reading about my pregnancy with D but there really isn't a whole lot.
Let's see if I can commit!
